Passthrough Fees

Guardian Background Screening partners with a wide range of official and authorized sources to complete background checks. These sources include federal and criminal courts, motor vehicle departments (MVDs), public and private databases, and other verified third-party organizations.

To access certain records—such as court documents, criminal history, or license verifications—these agencies often charge a fee. These charges are not set by [Company], but by the third-party agencies themselves. We do not add any markup to these fees. Instead, they are simply passed through to you at the exact amount charged by the source. On your invoice, they will appear as third-party service fees.

You are responsible for paying these fees as part of the background check process. Depending on the scope of the check and the jurisdictions involved, the total cost may vary. We always aim to be transparent about these charges and will notify you of any significant third-party fees when possible.
