Pass-Through Fees
Guardian Background Screening partners with a wide variety of specialized sources to complete background checks. These include federal and state courts, motor vehicle departments (MVDs), licensing boards, public and private databases, and other third-party providers.

When these agencies or sources charge an access fee—for example, for retrieving court records, verifying a professional license, or pulling a driving record—that cost is set by the agency itself, not by Guardian. We do not mark up or profit from these charges. Instead, they are billed to you at the exact amount charged by the source. On your invoice, they will appear as third-party service or access fees.

Because these are pass-through fees, you are responsible for covering them as part of the background check process. The total amount can vary depending on the jurisdictions searched and the type of information requested. To maintain transparency, we make every effort to notify you in advance of any significant third-party costs.
